As the 4th Matrix film has been released, it inspires thoughts of change and transformation. I am, like many of you reading this, a fan of the first Matrix film. As SAP ECC clients approach the end of support – as SAP moves into a truly digital age – we must consider the future of doing business. Most importantly, like Neo being offered a choice in one of the most iconic film scenes of the last 30 years, we are posed with a choice that will either change how we do business forever or leave us to stagnate where we are.

"You take the blue pill... the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill... you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

In this case, the Blue Pill represents being stagnant, continuing to use the same processes as you have 5, 10, or even more years ago, and putting change off for reasons like budget, timing, resources, or laziness. Antiquated systems can feel safe, we know them, we know the problems with them. It’s easy to continue doing things in the same way – even if that way is broken.

And, in this analogy, the Red Pill represents “Wonderland”, the next generation of ERP – the Future – that is #IntelligentEnterprise. It’s required to keep pace in our ever-changing market. Most importantly, this Rabbit Hole is deep with opportunities to improve process, to become more flexible, reduce TCO, and to challenge your business to be better.

Like in the Matrix, facing the reality of change is difficult. In the end, you’ll be glad you took the proverbial leap. If your business is up for the challenge and you want to work with the Morpheus of SAP S/4HANA System Integrators, then I challenge you to take the Red Pill and revolutionize your ERP experience with Cognitus.

Cognitus can you help you take on the challenge of moving to S/4HANA, of understanding what it takes to move with a Gallop Discovery pilot, and, finally to convert to S/4 with our certified factory conversion program Gallop Deployment. Or, you could take a Greenfield approach and use Cognitus Transform to migrate to SAP S/4HANA.
